A company spokesperson commenting on Bostrom's departure said he "has played a critical role in supporting the board and the company through an important period in the company’s development, including spearheading the creation and implementation of a new corporate governance structure, aligned with industry best practices."

According to the SEC filing, Bostrom first came on with Abercrombie to help guide the company “through the resolution of a then pending proxy fight and the adoption of corporate governance reforms accompanying changes to the composition of the [company's] board of directors.”

According to the SEC filing, he successfully helped the company transition through leadership and executive management changes. He is leaving now to "pursue new challenges."

Bostrom came to Abercrombie from Freddie Mac, where he led the lending company through economic crisis of 2008. His experience includes private practice as well as in-house counsel. Bostrom holds his law degree from Boston College School of Law.

An SEC filing outlined the provisions of Bostrom's departure. He will continue his role as SVP, GC and corporate secretary through September.

He will then transition into a part-time role as a company advisor as SVP and special counsel. Bostrom's departure will be March 31, 2019 at the latest.
