Herrera will stage her next two fashion shows at the Museum of Modern Art, making her the first designer to ever stage a fashion show at the New York City landmark.

As many designers continue to deviate from the traditional New York Fashion Week schedule, Carolina Herrera has changed up her show with both a new location and a new time. In addition to showing at the MoMA for the first time, the Venezuelan-American designer will also stage a nighttime show instead of her usual daytime presentation.

Though the MoMA has occasionally staged small presentations, it has never hosted a full fashion show during New York Fashion Week. Herrera’s past runway shows have taken place at the likes of Bryant Park, Lincoln Center and the Metropolitan Club.

A handful of New York-based designers including Rodarte, Monique Lhuillier and Joseph Altuzarra have chosen to leave the city this year and instead show in Paris. Ralph Lauren will show his Fall 2017 collection at his home in Bedford, New York, followed by a private dinner.

Herrera teased her upcoming show on her brand’s Twitter account, with a short video showing the designer walking through the MoMA gardens.

Herrera’s Spring 2018 show will take place at the museum’s Abby Aldrich Rockefeller Sculpture Garden on September 11 at 8pm.
