Carven opens in Los Angeles

Pending the appointment of new artistic directors for both its men’s and women’s lines following the departure of Guillaume Henry - with Paul Surridge (Z Zegna) having been approached to take charge of the former and Alexis Martial (ex Iceberg) approached for the latter - and with an announcement expected by the beginning of March, Carven is expected to open its first store in Los Angeles in 2015.

The new American location, which follows an opening in New York in 2013, will be added to the list of its 25 other points of sale (including both stores and partner stores)

For its winter 2015-2016 collection, which was designed by Guillaume Henry, Carven is offering a slightly more classic range than usual, reinterpreting work clothes and offering striped tennis sweatshirts, shirts and pants.

There’s a touch of the 80’s in the coats with wide padded shoulders, sheepskin jackets, and a series of print sweatshirts and T-shirts.

As for accessories, Carven has also introduced new kinds of bags for men, mostly with large straps for the winter, along with weekenders and small bags, and a footwear line with a more futuristic look.
