One of the key words at the 2012 edition of Ispo, which took place from January 29th to February 1st of this year, was "diversification". Newly aunched lines of technical textiles came from K2 and La Sportiva, Eider re-launched its Children's Collection and... there was the arrival of outerwear at Dakine. The American brand known for its technical gear for surfing, skateboarding, snowboarding and windsurfing at the exhibition in Munich presented its first outerwear textile collection.

The brand was acquired in 2008 by GSM (the group that owns Billabong) and has since benefited from the expertise of the textile group to develop comprehensive snow-wear looks.

As to the look itself, the nine jackets and six types of pants for men, and six jackets and three types of pants for women (from 220 to 429 euros) play the minimalist card but, above all, focus on the technical aspect in order to remain faithful to a core public.

Dakine's main European markets include Germany, Switzerland and France respectively.
