Los Angeles-based eyewear brand Dita has opened its second Japanese store, a flagship for the brand in the upscale district of Aoyama, Tokyo. The label opened the doors to its new boutique on May 27.

The 69-square-metre boutique, located in Minami Aoyama 5-chome, features a sleek and modern interior integrating elements from its showroom, created by Mandi and Mehdi Rafaty of West Hollywood's Tag Front. The design duo's identifiable contemporary simplicity is showcased in the sophisticated combination of Italian stone and plated aluminium, with a window on the south-facing facade extending from the floor to the ceiling.

The store offers a range of technical services as part of its specialised 'Dita Lab,' including the provision of lens and frame prescriptions. The uniforms for the service were designed by Caitlin Boelke, a graduate of the Otis College of Art and Design.

The new flagship in Aoyama is Dita's second Japanese store, with Dita's first store worldwide having opened in Daikanyama, Tokyo, in 2003.
