Adidas has made two top-level personnel changes, appointing Arthur Hoeld as Vice-President Brand Strategy and Business Development, while Torben Schumacher will succeed him at Adidas Originals.

Adidas Originals is the German sporting giant's more creative and directional collection.

Arthur Hoeld has been with the German sporting group since 1998, working in several marketing and communications roles before being appointed in 2014 General Manager of Adidas Originals, the group's premium, designer-inspired label. Hoeld gave a decisive impulse to the label's growth and boosted its reputation via several directional collaborations. In 2015, Adidas Originals posted double-figures growth.

Hoeld's place as the label's general manager will be taken by Torben Schumacher, who joined the group in 2004 and until now was Vice-President of Product at Adidas Originals.

In 2015, the Adidas group reported a revenue of €16.9 billion, equivalent to a 10% rise, and is confident about a double-digit increase in the 2016 fiscal year too.
