Gap experienced a positive October

The Gap group’s sales grew by 4% in October, to 847.2 million Euros. The same-store increase was 2%. Already compared with October 2009, it has recorded a sales growth of 4%.

For sales, Gap North America has improved 5%, Old Navy, up 2%. In contrast, Banana Republic recorded a decline of 1%. Internationally, the Group grew its revenue by 1%.The entire quarter (ended late October), the group made a 2% increase, reaching 2.59 billion Euros. Gap North America’s turnover went up 1%, Banana Republic in the same area, grew 1%. Old Navy North America has however suffered a decline of 2%. Internationally it finally received a positive growth of 3%. On a comparable basis, activity was stable.
