InstantLuxe has become part of the Galeries Lafayette group. The French department store group recently acquired a 100% interest in the e-commerce site specialised in selling second-hand luxury goods. Yann Le Floc’h, the website's founder, will remain at the helm of InstantLuxe.

The Galeries Lafayette group has acquired a 100% interest in InstantLuxe.

By making this acquisition, the Galeries Lafayette group intends to push forward with its omni-channel strategy, offering customers new purchasing experiences within this booming sector. A strategy that must have shown considerable promise, having already been tested in the last few months.

This winter, in fact, the French website specialising in leather goods, jewellery, watches and accessories joined forces with Galeries Lafayette on two occasions: a pop-up retail corner at Parisian department store BHV Marais, owned by Galeries Lafayette, a venture that turned out to be successful, according to the department store group, and it also offered its customers a purchase voucher valid on the Galeries Lafayette website for all sales made over a specific period.

InstantLuxe opened a physical showroom last October and now that it has become part of the Galeries Lafayette group. Such co-marketing initiatives are expected to multiply in the forthcoming months.
