Interparfums completes acquisition of Rochas

Last March, InterparfumsSA announced that it was acquiring the brand Rochas from Procter & Gamble for 102 million euros (108 million dollars). The acquisition has now been finalized and will have "no significant impact" on the 2015 sales of the perfume licensee (Repetto, Montblanc...), with expected annual sales of 310 to 320 million euros.

"This acquisition opens up a new page in the company's history by integrating for the first time both fragrances and fashion. This will allow us to apply a global approach to managing a fragrance brand with complete freedom in terms of creativity and aesthetic choices and a very high degree of visibility to establish a position of even greater preeminence for Rochas in the universe of luxury," said Interparfums CEO Philippe Benacin.

Last year, Rochas generated a turnover of 46 million dollars, largely thanks to its perfume lines Eau de Rochas and Rochas Man, with the rest coming from its longtime women’s fragrances, Madame Rochas and Tocade, the AFP indicated in March.

Besides Rochas, InterparfumsSA also acquired the license for the American brand Coach last April.
