Designer Veronique Leroy showcased 47 patterned outfits in silks, jerseys or a velvety terrycloth, that swept in a carousel of colours from pink and violet pastels, on to sand and beige, blues, and last a burst of tropical colour.

Short dresses with mandala-like teardrop patterns came in variations of blue on black, most of them cut loose like V-necked kaftans.

And for the finale bright blue, raspberry and yellow flowers, set against black or white, illuminated knee-length or floor-sweeping dresses, billowing jumpsuits and wide-necked, short-sleeved rain jackets
