Belgian menswear fashion label Les Hommes has opened its first flagship store in the country, in Antwerp, where its creative directors Tom Notte and Bart Vandebosch hail from. The 200 m² store is located at 6 Arme Duivelstraat, in the heart of the city's shopping district, and is the label's second European store after the one in Milan's Porta Nuova, opened in 2014.

As in Milan, the new store's interiors concept and brand identity have been developed my Milanese architect studio Piuarch, tasked by Les Hommes to express the label's distinctive values and features (quality, fabric research and the juxtaposition of rare and ordinary materials) through the store's lay-out, colours and furniture.

The building features several different materials, from marble to glass, galvanised steel and concrete. Commonplace materials combine with more precious ones, such as the walls in white-cloud marble and the stairs' raw concrete, resulting in in a blend of structural elegance and chromatic minimalism.

The interiors exploit natural light as much as possible, while the warm-coloured, almost golden mirrors combine with the shapeliness of large, triangle-shaped marble surfaces. Attention to details is one of the Belgian duo's hallmarks, and it is reflected in the furniture, created using smoked glass, white-cloud marble and champagne-coloured steel.

The Antwerp store is the first step in the brand's expansion plan, targeting the opening of 15 new stores in Asia within the next 3 years.
