Liv Tyler designs capsule collection for Belstaff

Belstaff has enlisted its brand ambassador, American actress Liv Tyler, to create a capsule collection for Autumn/Winter 2016.

The 12-piece collection marries form and function, capturing a modern spirit of glamour with a rock-star edge. The actress drew inspiration from Belstaff’s archives and her own needs to create range for independent, busy women.

“I wanted to express strength through the outerwear and leather pieces, and sensuality through the softer materials and more tailored silhouettes,” said Liv Tyler on the collection.

The range includes a pea coat with leather trim and gold buttons, a fitted version of the Milford coat and a fine-leather jacket with a removable collar and quilted interior.

To celebrate the collaboration, the actress stars in an exclusive short film entitled Failing up. Produced by Tyler and directed by Niall O’Brien, the film shows the actress of The Lord of the Rings retrace the footstep of aviation icon Amelia Earhart, who was one of the first women ever dressed by Belstaff.

Liv Tyler x Belstaff landed in stores on Tuesday.
