Online luxury retailers Net-A-Porter and Mr Porter have launched a joint holiday ad campaign designed to emphasise their service proposition. The campaign, which is the second time the two brands have joined forces for the Christmas season, is called Gifts All Wrapped Up.

It spans print and digital, with the lead medium of a fully animated short film designed to emphasise the shopping experience during the holidays at the two pureplay e-tailers.

Animation is increasingly being used by big name retailers for their Christmas advertising with Harrods yesterday unveiling its own animation for the season.

The Net-A-Porter/MR Porter campaign was illustrated by Simone Massoni through Dutch Uncle Agency with animation by Animade.

The storyline takes the viewer on a 'behind the scenes' journey of how gifts are prepared, packed and wrapped through to delivery.

The launch comes as the two produce printed gift guides for the first time, which will be mailed to existing customers.

As well as appearing on both brand’s social media networks and on YouTube throughout the holiday season, the campaign will also be executed via London taxis in which the dual creative will appear in a his and her motif on a fleet of London's signature black cabs.
