Following right behind New York Fashion Week, the New York ready-to-wear trade shows will be starting this Saturday, 21 February. With a pretty big new entry: French trade show Tranoï.

The building where Tranoï will be taking place in New York

Tranoï Paris: An event at The Tunnel in New York, a former warehouse turned nightclub in the 80s and located in the Chelsea neighbourhood. It will be the first edition of the Tranoï trade show in New-York.

From 21 to 23 February, the show, created in 1991 and taken over by Armand Hadida in 2003, will present 80 women's ready-to-wear and accessories brands for winter 2015.

An international selection, with 9 French brands – including glove-maker Agnelle, Balensi Paris evening gowns, luxury denim or "Parisian contemporary jeans" brand Brockenbow, and Natacha & Vanessa, a specialist in hides and fur - and nearly 70 designers from some twenty countries around the world.

"Dedicated to the modern woman and wanting to show off all the facets of fashion, the Tranoï New York trade show will particularly highlight its avant-garde brands, such as Barbara I Gongini, leather brand VSP, Isaac Reina, Laura B Collection Particulière and the very graphic universe of Pierre-Louis Mascia. "

Capsule Show: Launched in 2007 by Deirdre Maloney and Minya Quirck, the Capsule trade show will take place at Pier 94 along the Hudson River.

From 22 to 24 February, Capsule will present women's ready-to-wear clothing for winter 2015 by nearly 250 brands.

Parallel to the Capsule Show, at the same place and time, the new Capsule Accessories segment will be introduced. 150 accessories, jewellery, and leather goods brands will be presented. Some notable ones, like Oliver Peoples for eyewear, but others to be discovered, like New York leather craftsman Vianel.

Woman: The Man/Woman trade show from Antoine Floch, Olivier Migda and Romain Bernardie-James will hold its womenswear edition, Woman Show, from 22 to 24 February.

After Man Paris, New-York and Tokyo, the woman's edition is being held in the West Village (775 Washington Street), with some fifty ready-to-wear and accessories brands featuring a "cool premium" theme.

Coterie: The international ready-to-wear women's trade show will take place from 23 to 25 February at the Jacob K.Javitz Convention Center, along the banks of the Hudson on 34th Street.

In the hands of American trade show organiser Enk International – which includes 7 other trade shows including Children’s Club, a ready-to-wear and accessories show for children, Intermezzo Collections and Shop The Floor -, the semi-annual Coterie trade show – which celebrated its 20th anniversary last year – brings together nearly 1,500 exhibitors from 30 countries and is expecting nearly 20,000 visitors.

Designers & Agents: Founded in 2000, the D&A will put designers in contact with buyers at the heart of Chelsea. From 22 to 24 February, the show will present nearly 400 brands exhibiting via some twenty showrooms and agents.

Edit: The trade show organised by the "Business Journal Fashion Group", owner of "Accessories magazine and AccessoriesTheShow", presents emerging designers at the Jacob K.Javitz Center.

From 23 to 25 February, this trade show reserved for professionals in the fashion world (entry with invitation only) presents a selection of some 70 emerging and known designers of high-end women's ready-to-wear, including shoes and accessories.
