Following a successful debut collaboration, Opening Ceremony and Esprit have teamed up again to create a collection modeled on the brand’s heyday in the 80s and 90s. The new spring collection mixes sherbet and pastel colors in gender-neutral casualwear.

Despite the vintage color scheme, the shapes and overall style of the new collection look completely at home in 2017. The collection includes sweatpants, sweatshirts, T-shirts, skirts, shorts and more, all rendered in pastel colors, paisley prints and stripes and imprinted with the iconic Esprit logo.

Opening Ceremony co-founder Humberto Leon cites the brand as a huge inspiration for the store’s style. “Esprit and Opening Ceremony share an ethos, from our relationship with global youth culture to our insistence on diversity in fashion,” he says.

The promote the Spring 2017 collection, Opening Ceremony shot an editorial inspired by Esprit’s history. The editorial was shot by photographer Matt Jones, styled by Brian Molloy and features models such as Coco Gordon and Arsun Sorrenti.

The Esprit and Opening Ceremony collaboration launches today and will be available at both Opening Ceremony’s boutiques and online shop. But it’s not just American shoppers who will be able to get their hands on the collection, as the line will also be sold in a few stores around the world, including at a special pop-up shop at Berlin’s KaDeWe.

The Berlin store will launch the Opening Ceremony and Esprit collection with an invitation-only party and a special window display designed by Stockholm Studio Sandberg & Timonen. The special display, which like the collection itself takes its inspiration from 80s style, will be on view until May 14.

Besides Berlin’s KaDeWe, the collaboration will also be sold at Selfridges in London and i.T. in Hong Kong.
