Oui to make UK store return with ambitious franchise plans

German womenswear brand Oui will open 10 franchised stores in Britain next year and could roll out up to 35 locations by 2021.

The premium fashion and accessories company has not operated its own stores in the UK for nearly three decades and has focused on its wholesale operations since closing its own stores in the 1990s.

Although it has one UK franchise stores, it is mainly available in the country via department stores and a large number of multibrand independents. It also operates its own UK e-store.

It is in talks with retail partners in London and the South of England to open in key shopping locations.

Oui has a strong presence in its domestic market, Germany, with 40 of its 50-plus stores being located there. The rest are in Austria and The Netherlands although are brad is available in 25 countries in total through its flourishing wholesale operations.
