Reebok and Bait have teamed up with Netflix and Sony to release a limited edition Stranger Things run of the Reebok Ex-O-Fit Hi Clean, a throwback to the model worn in Ghostbusters.

The shoes are designed to appeal to sneakerheads as well as die-hard fans of the retro horror show, Stranger Things.

"80s nostalgia is running at a fever pitch, and excitement and fondness for the classic Ghostbusters seems to grow every year," said Ghostbusters producer and director Ivan Reitman.

To harness that 80s nostalgia, Netflix's Stranger Things producers has teamed up with Sony Pictures Consumer Products and Ghost Corps to create special retro Reebok footwear that sports graphics that the show's main character drew on his sneakers.

Stranger Things has had a major merchandise push as it enters its second season. Netflix brought an official apparel collection from Hybrid Apparel to Target and Hot Topic. There are also Stranger Things collaborations from Funko Pop Vinyls and Microsoft Minecraft skins for accessories related to the show, and Topshop also recently unveiled a Stranger Things-themed makeover.

Reebok and Bait will host a launch party in LA to kick off the release. The shoes will launch first at Bait retailers globally this month and then roll out at Reebok stores and online in Japan.

Undefeated will sell the shoes globally, Colette will sell them in Paris, Mita and Atmos in Tokyo, Kasina in Korea and Juice in Hong Kong.
