Reima launches in the United States

Fall/Winter 2017 will mark children’s outerwear brand Reima’s first foray into the US market. The Scandinavian brand currently has a presence in 30 other countries, but had yet to launch an American expansion until now.

Reima’s conceit is to bring high-quality, technology-driven products to children, with a focus on promoting a healthy, sustainable lifestyle for kids. Reima tests all products on kids to make sure they can withstand all the activities they get up to. All products are created without toxins – a labeling confirmed by Reima’s partnership with the OEKO-TEX and bluesign certifications. 

One of the unique innovations Reima offers is the ReimaGO technology – a sensor integrated into the outerwear products that measures physical activity and sends the information to a mobile app, promoting outdoor activity in kids.

In line with Finland’s 100th anniversary, the Fall/Winter 2017 collection will be inspired by the magical landscapes of northern Scandinavia. As part of this campaign, Reima will fly in kids from around the world to Lapland for the #ReimaKidVenture.

There is no word yet as to where Reima will choose to distribute, be it on a US-specific website or in stand-alone stores. Reima currently has brick-and-mortar locations across Scandinavia, Russia, and China.
