Sophie Ellis-Bextor, the British singer and songwriter who first became known for the song "Groovejet (If This Ain't Love)" and who released a new album, "Wanderlust", last year, has been named the face of British fashion and occasionwear label Phase Eight.

It's been 11 years since Phase Eight last chose a high profile ambassador to model for the brand - Yasmin Le Bon was the face of the brand in 2004. Sophie Ellis-Bextor stars in Phase Eight's campaign imagery for S/S15, wearing a selection of floral-printed, summery dresses.

"This collection provides perfect outfit solutions for summer weddings and garden parties where you always want to feel special and unique. I love how the collection exudes feminine and stylish dressing," stated Ellis-Bextor.

Meanwhile, brand director Judith Bremner said "Sophie is the ultimate Phase Eight woman – she is successful, confident, loves fashion and interprets it to work for her own personal style."

The sun-dappled, summery images in the ad campaign were shot by Damien Weilers and the soft lighting and floral surroundings are meant to complement the feel of the collection.

Phase Eight has evolved over the seasons and is now focusing on timeless fashion-forward items. The company has more than 400 stores and concessions around the world.
