Speedo and Aquaphysical launch new H2O Active collection

Speedo and global fitness trend Aquaphysical announced on Tuesday the launch of H2O Active, a line of women’s workout gear that can be worn in and out of water.

Speedo joins forces with Aquaphysical and international fitness enthusiasts to launch new multi functional collection.

The H2O Active collection is comprised of swim and athleisure pieces such as shorts, tights, tanktops, bras and one-piece suits that are constructed from chlorine-resistant Powerflex Eco fabric. The fabric is made from 78% Econyl yarn, which is a nylon fibre made from regenerated plastics including abandoned fishing nets.

Founded by Leila Francis-Coleman, Aquaphysical is an exercise trend that uses water to transform fitness. The company designed and created the Aquabase, a floating exercise mat and its complimentary exercise program Floatfit, a low-impact, cross-training workout on water.

The new collections follow Speedo's lifestyle collection and the Misty Franklin Signature Series collection that both launched in 2016. The swim brand also launched a Chinese language website during the Rio 2016 Summer Olympic Games.

The H2O Active collection will launch in January 2017.
