Sutor Mantellassi's relaunch kicked off in 2015, and the brand has now set up shop in Paris. The Italian luxury label specialised in men's footwear was founded near Florence in 1912, and since 2010 it is the property of Korean group E-Land. It has now opened its first shop in France, a retail corner within Parisian department store Le Bon Marché which will be inaugurated on 1st August.

The 10 m2 retail corner is well-placed, right by the end of the central escalator at level -1, at the heart of the footwear department within Le Bon Marché Rive Gauche. On display are the brand's Autumn/Winter 2016-17 shoes and accessories collections, for a total of about twenty items.

Sutor Mantellassi made a few forays into the French capital in the past, notably through a series of special projects at the Colette concept store, including the capsule collection created by The Sartorialist's blogger, Scott Schuman. This collaboration will also be exclusively featured at the Le Bon Marché retail corner.

Sutor Mantellassi is a truly top-of-the-range label, distinctive for its Italian expertise in hand-crafted shoes. It operates three other mono-brand stores: Florence and Milan are directly owned, while Kiev is in partnership.

To increase its visibility, the label launched an e-commerce site last March and opened three pop-up stores, in Dubai, London (at Harrods) and Milan, at the La Rinascente department store.
