The North Face: new EMEA Sales Director

The outdoor wear brand announces the arrival of Arne Arens to Director of Sales for Europe, Middle-East and Africa. Under the management of Timo Schmidt-Eisenharp, North Face’s Managing Director EMEA, Arens will work from VF International’s Swiss headqurters in Lugano. Former Accenture worker, he dedicated 8 years to Nike Europe, in various sales and marketing positions, as well as Managing Director of its football category in Germany and more recently Sales Manager for Sportswear.

“With Arne’s international experience and professional background, I am certain that he is going to lead The North Face’s sales into a new light” Timo Schmidt-Eisenharp commented. “I am looking to make The North Face the unbeatable number one brand in Europe, with the help of the team and of retailer partners.” Arne Arens informs us.

In the second half of 2010’s fiscal year, The North Face turnover increased by 12% compared to the same period in 2009. At the same time, VF International’s Action Sport brands (The North Face, Vance & Lucy) jumped 13%.
