Thom Browne last week opened his first flagship store in Hong Kong in partnership with the Joyce Group at 18 On Lan Street. This marks the designer’s third store to open worldwide, joining stores in New York City and Japan.

The 2,200 square foot boutique that was designed by Browne and actualized by Studio Mellone is based on the brand’s original store on Hudson Street in New York City. The three-level store resembles a late 1950’s to early 1960’s office with poured Terrazzo floors, grey marble clad walls, a glass ‘box’ enclosed staircase with Browne’s signature white blinds, and continental mid-century furniture by Paul McCobb, Edward Wormley, and Pierre Jeaneret. The main floor of the boutique resembles a lobby will a small lounge area with a Gio-Ponti style bar and stools, and minimal merchandising.

On the Hong Kong flagship, Browne said, "Joyce has been very supportive of me and my collection from the very beginning, so it was a natural choice to partner with them to open my boutique in Hong Kong."

The Thom Brown Hong Kong flagship store opening with Joyce Group follows the recent opening of the Rick Owens Joyce store. Browne is the latest to join a bevy of designers and brands who have partnered with the Joyce Group including Alexander McQueen, Alexander Wang, Balenciaga, Dries Van Noten, Dsquared2, Hugo Boss, Jil Sander, Marni, Sacai, and Stella McCartney
