Thylane Lena-Rose Blondeau belongs to a new generation of digital muses who go their own way and express their personality with ease. As an icon of the digital beauty scene, she inspires young women who strive for self-confidence and self-determination. Thylane, a French model and actress, takes on a global role as the new brand ambassador of L'Oréal on her 16th birthday on 5 April.

“It is such an honour for me to become part of L’Oréal Paris big family – L'Oréal is one of the best beauty brands, and it was always a dream of mine to work with L'Oréal,” she said.

“I’m just turning 16 years old and will work alongside beauty models and ambassadors that I always admired. That is the best present ever!," said Blondeau.

The emerging fashion icon has already worked with several fashion houses, graced the covers of Jalouse and L'Officiel and starred in a film. She is currently pursuing a modelling career and already belongs to Gen Z’s fashion ‘It’ crowd. Her social media channels include Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat and Youtube, where she has 1 million followers. She is best known for a controversial Vogue shoot, appearing in a Paris Vogue 2011 issue at just ten years old, provoking a storm of media criticism.

As a friend of L’Oréal, Thylane made her first appearance on the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival in May 2016 and now she joins the Loréalista squad as official brand ambassador. The youngest member of the L’Oréal Paris family will front the new campaign for the brand’s Hydra Genius Liquid Moisturizer. She joins a group of ambassadors including Irina Shayk, Barbara Palvin, Karlie Kloss, Alexina Graham and Isabeli Fontana.

“Thylane is... the voice of a generation that is more connected than any other before, but which communicates with images rather than words,” said Pierre-Emmanuel Angeloglou, Global Brand President of L'Oréal Paris.
