Tiffany & Co. has decided to make a major statement in Italy. On 20th September, the luxury jewellery label announced that in spring 2017 it will open a new store within Milan's pulsating heart, on historic Piazza Duomo. The store will be located in a period building dating back to 1870. It will extend over approximately 1000 m² on two floors, with 5 shop-windows overlooking the square.

"By opening another store in this internationally renowned city, one of the world's luxury goods capitals, where we have been present since 1989, we emphasize the Italian market's importance and our intention to continue promoting the style and innate elegance of Tiffany & Co.'s jewellery in this country", stated Marc Jacheet, EMEA President for Tiffany & Co. in a press release.

The Piazza Duomo store will be the New York jeweller's third showcase in Milan, where Tiffany & Co. already operates a flagship store in via della Spiga and a store-in-store inside Excelsior, in Galleria del Corso 4. It will be Tiffany & Co.'s tenth Italian store, besides those in Rome, Verona, Venice, Florence and Bologna.

Globally, Tiffany & Co. operates 311 stores: 125 in the Americas, 83 in the Asia-Pacific region, 55 in Japan, 43 in Europe and 5 in the UAEs. The network is steadily expanding, and as of July 2016 it has grown from the 304 stores active in July 2015.
