Adidas repeats collaboration with Alexander Wang
While the first 84-piece capsule collection was primarily black, white, and navy, the second collection with the duo will play off Adidas’s historical love of color. Alexander Wang told the Wall Street Journal, ““this new [second] drop’s got more iconic Adidas colors. The firebird blue, the Stan Smith green and the soccer-jersey orange. We turned the famous Adidas trefoil upside down. It’s symbolic. Starting over and tearing things up are always the most inspiring moments for me”
The duo’s first much-anticipated partnership launched in September of 2016 at Alexander Wang’s Spring/Summer 2017 runway show at New York Fashion Week. The first collection was initially available for purchase via dual-branded trucks, as well as in select stores in Spring of 2017. There is no news as of yet as to when this collection will be available for purchase.
