10 Magazine launches e-commerce site

10 Magazine has launched an e-commerce retail site. The store, 10curates.com, will be curated by editor-in-chief Sophia Neophitou-Apostolou, and will include everything from photography prints to jewelry to art objects to home furniture.

“There are so many wonderful places and people that I have discovered on my travels over the years” said Neophitou-Apostolou.

“I always revisit when I want something special. I wanted to create an online space to showcase them, and give everybody access to these beautiful things. When I buy somebody else, or myself, a gift I want it to be unique and desirable, so I have brought together an edit of things that I would love to give or receive, in one place, where people who don’t necessarily have the time or opportunity to go out and find them can access them too.”

Rather than carry a selection of brands featured in the bi-annual print publication, the concept of the shop is to carry items that represent the personality of Neophitou-Apostolou and the indie fashion magazine.

Prices for items start at $25 for a Collins Spanish translation book to $25,000 for a pair of Delfina Dellettrez earrings, to over $40,000 for one-of-a-kind sculptures.

The fashion glossy will also be selling fashion photographs from the past fifteen years of issues. Browsing through the retail site, visitors can find illustrations by Jonathan Kugel and Stephen Doherty, photographs from Niall O’ Brien and Chris Moore, and antiques from British antique store In Da House.

The e-tail move by 10 Magazine comes after the New York Times launched an e-commerce retail store earlier this fall, and just days after Wonderland Magazine announced its bricks-and-mortar pop-up experience.
