151 Luwolt appoints Anum Bashir as Guest Fashion Director

Luxury fashion incubator 151 Luwolt announced this month the appointment of Anum Bashir as Guest Fashion Director. She will hold the position through June 2016.

Bashir is a creative consultant, contributor to Style.com Arabia and the blogger behind Desert Mannequin. A resident of Doha, Bashir graduated with a Master of Arts from Carnegie Mellon and recently served as a Guest Buyer and Fashion Director for Per Lei Couture, which allowed her to introduce designers, Johanna Ortiz, Rosetta Getty, Isa Arfen, Ellery, Natasha Zinko and Monica Sordo, among others.
 
"Being part of anything new is always exciting, especially if you see the value and potential behind the initiative,” said Bashir. “I get to do what I love the most; continue to work with and support new talent by helping to position and grow them in the right way."

The creative steps in as Guest Fashion Director after Cleo Davis-Urman who was Guest Director from July 2015 through December 2015. Davis-Urman co-founded Tinker Tailor in 2013 after styling with Rachel Zoe and Brad Goreski in 2009 and serving as Fashion Associate and Spotlight Editor at Moda Operandi in 2012. She is currently the Fashion Director, Contemporary and Modern at Saks Fifth Avenue.
 
151 Luwolt is a UK-based multi-brand e-commerce platform and online emerging designer incubator founded by Roy Luwolt and Mary Alice Malone. Through 151 Luwolt, designers receive editorial presentations, global public relations and mentorship. Current participating designers include Azede Jean Pierre, Collina Strada, Harbison and Teatum Jones, among others.
