7 for All Mankind names Simon Spurr as global creative director

7 For All Mankind has named British fashion designer Simon James Spurr as global creative director, effective immediately.
In his new role, Spurr will lead the brand's global teams in creating product that "bridges 7 For All Mankind’s heritage as a premium denim brand with a new, modern approach across classifications," according to a press release.
As global creative director, Spurr will be based in Los Angeles. 7 For All Mankind's women's design director, Larissa Noble, and its men's design director, Wes Austin, will now both report to Spurr.
Spurr's debut collection for 7 For All Mankind will launch in spring of 2020, coinciding with the brand's 20th anniversary.
In addition to overseeing his namesake brand, Spurr brings over 20 years of experience with brands like Yves Saint Laurent, Calvin Klein, Ralph Lauren, and Tommy Hilfiger to his new position. Most recently, Spurr served as creative director of Eidos.
Along with a new global creative director, 7 For All Mankind has also named co-founder of L'Agence Margaret Maldonado as senior design director of women’s ready-to-wear, and Alessandra Pesavento of Diesel as director of design and merchandising for the brand's international team. Based in the brand's international offices in Mendrisio, Switzerland, Pesavento will be responsible for executing Spurr’s creative direction with product dedicated to the brand's Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) zone.
