Adidas and Tom Dixon team up in a collaboration

Not a new-comer to the designer collaboration scene (see Y-3, Jeremy Scott and Opening Ceremony), the German sporting giant is set to launch a capsule collection with a completely different kind of designer: the British furniture designer Tom Dixon. The fruits of this relationship will be revealed at the Milan design trade fair, which takes place between the 9 and 14 April.

Tom Dixon has confirmed that the collection will feature two types of bags as well as clothing and accessories. “Inside, the bags reveal a complete kit of parts for our week long stay in Italy – neatly, crisply and compactly folded with maximum efficiency to provide a complete wardrobe for every possible occasion,” explains the Tom Dixon team in a press release.

For Tom Dixon, this is not his first venture into the fashion world – he also collaborated on a Lacoste polo shirt in 2006.

The Adidas collaboration will be debuted in Milan within an immense environment of a reconstructed 19th Century Railway Station at MOST, in the Museum of Science and Technology. You will have to wait until next January, however, for the products to reach stores.
