For 2018, Italian fashion group Aeffe is envisaging a 10-12% revenue rise, together with “a more than proportional increase in operating margin,” in the words of its General Manager Marcello Tassinari, speaking to Reuters at the Spring/Summer 2019 show for Alberta Ferretti in Milan.

“We are enjoying strong visibility in 2018, we are very optimistic. All the initiatives we have deployed are coming to fruition,” said Marcello Tassinari, adding that the group, which owns among others Alberta Ferretti and Moschino, will be kicking off a new, internally run online project in September. “The goal is to achieve a greater synergy between the online and offline sides of our business, in order to create a strong link between the virtual and the physical,” said Tassinari.

As for the distribution of dividends this year, Marcello Tassinari did not rule out the possibility: “We must come to grips with 2018 and 2019. We have significant debt-reduction targets. For investors, the crucial element isn’t dividend distribution, but a remarkable performance, even one in excess of expectations.”
