De la Prada’s fashion show, which was held at Block Thirty Seven in Chicago, featured a wearable collection in the designer’s signature bright palette.

“Her amazing designs and little strange aesthetic will be the high point of out ninth edition,” said Arabel Alva Rosale, a co-founder of the event. Agatha Ruiz de la Prada “has created her own universe and become one of the world’s most creative designers,” said Rosales.

De la Prada’s runway show coincided with an exhibition by the Instituto Cervantes of Chicago of the designer’s costumes, posters and furniture designed by the Spanish artist over thirty years of work.

Latino Fashion Week, which ended Sunday, was expected to welcome more than 10,000 visitors throughout the week, with the goal of providing opportunities for fashion designers and sponsors to come face-to-face with celebrities, musical talent, media and consumers.

The event will also feature the collections of the Mexican designer Adán Terriquez, the Spanish designer Gemma Pitarch, and Ecuador’s Carmela Osorio.
