Much-coveted and highly collectible sneakers come at a cost, and that cost has now been determined: the starting price for a pair of Air Jordan 1 OG Diors will be 2000 US dollars/1,700 euros. The French luxury brand has just launched a mini-site where potential buyers can register their size and model choices for a single pair of the highly sought-after shoes: Capsule.dior.com.

The countdown has begun. Announced at the beginning of this week, the mini-site to help fashion addicts book a pair of Air Jordan 1 OG Dior sneakers is now online. In view of the anticipated demand for the limited-edition footwear from the new Nike x Dior collaboration, the site will not handle sales transactions but only register potential customers, many of whom will likely be disappointed.

The principle is quite simple. First come, first served. On entering the site, you have the choice between two versions of the sneaker -- high or low. Then you have to select a pick-up location for the shoes, for example Paris Saint-Honoré for France, and indicate your size and your contact details. Those who are lucky enough to be attributed a pair of the sneakers will then receive a unique QR code that will allow them to collect their Air Jordan Diors at an approved sales outlet where they will be required to present ID. Please note that it is only possible to register once for one size and one model.

The new web platform has also put an end to speculation about the price of the new sneakers, which appears once you have selected your size and nearest sales outlet. The low version of the Air Jordan Diors will cost 1,700 euros (2000 dollars), while the high version will retail for 1,900 euros (2200 dollars).

An Air Dior capsule, featuring the aesthetic codes of the French luxury brand, will soon be available along with the two sneaker models. The ready-to-wear and accessories collection created in partnership with the Jordan Brand is set to hit the shelves in a selection of Dior stores in early July.
