Alexa Chung designs Winter collection for M&S

Following on from the success of the first collection, M&S and fashion icon Alexa Chung have unveiled the second instalment of the Archive by Alexa collection.

Rediscovering classic silhouettes for the new AW season, Winter Archive by Alexa takes customers on a journey through Marks and Spencer’s fashion archives with new takes on historical pieces. It includes 27 womenswear items and completes the Archive by Alexa series.

“For this second collection I wanted to focus on a more luxe evening wear vibe to lead us into the winter party season and was thrilled to once again to discover an abundance of inspiration within the Marks & Spencer archive,” commented British model and presenter Alexa Chung.

The collection was designed and curated by Alexa and the M&S design team using the extensive Marks and Spencer Company Archive in Leeds, which houses over 70,000 items dating back to 1884.

All the pieces in the new Winter collection are named after streets in Leeds, where the international multichannel retailer opened the doors of its first store in 1884.

Winter Archive by Alexa will arrive in stores and online on November 1, 2016.
