American Eagle promotes Chief Merchandising Officers to global positions

American Eagle on Tuesday announced the promotion of two of their own, Chief Merchandising Officers, Chad Kessler and Jennifer Foyle, who will become the Global Brand Presidents for American Eagle Outfitters and Aerie, respectively. Kessler and Foyle will be in charge of all brand design and merchandising and will report to Executive Creative Director, Roger Markfield.

Foyle joined the company in August 2010 as Chief Merchandising Officer for Aerie after working with Gap and J. Crew and previously served as President of Calypso St. Barth. Kessler joined AEO more recently in February of 2014 as Chief Merchandising and Design Officer for the American Eagle brand. He worked for Abercrombie & Fitch launching Hollister prior to AEO.
 
Roger Markfield commented, "I am absolutely delighted to announce the promotions of these highly capable and talented leaders. Chad has been instrumental to our business improvement, driving stronger AE merchandise assortments, rooted in outstanding quality, innovation and affordability."
