Amiri opens Chicago flagship store
Los Angeles-based luxury brand Amiri has opened its first flagship store in Chicago.
Spanning 7,500 square feet, the flagship houses the men’s and women’s ready-to-wear collections alongside kidswear, footwear and accessories.
The store also opens with an exclusive capsule collection inspired by the red and black colours of Chicago's iconic sport team. It features tees, sweatshirts, hoodies, trackpants, MX1 jeans and caps, and include a limited-edition Chicago bone logo.
Located on East Walton Street in the heart of Chicago’s historic Gold Coast District, the flagship was co-designed by Mike Amiri, the house’s CEO and creative director, and Paris-based design studio Nocod, alongside a partnership with U.S. architectural design firm Two One Two Design.
The space carries a dynamic balance of textures and tones, while embracing familiar touchpoints found across all the brand’s retail locations. Materials include natural oak, precious marble, and stainless steel complimented by custom furniture.
Completing the space is a series of site-specific art installations including a work by renowned American artist Jason Revok, as well as pieces by local collaborative artist duo Alridge titled, Joint Spirit II and Joint Spirit III.
The flagship marks the brand’s sixth location in the US and ninth internationally. Most recently, in December, Amiri opened its first flagship store in the Middle East at The Dubai Mall.
Mike Amiri launched his namesake brand in 2014. Today, it is in part funded by Renzo Rosso’s OTB Group, which acquired a significant minority stake in June 2019. Amiri was most recently nominated for the Menswear Designer of the Year at the CFDA Fashion Awards in 2022, as well as 2021 and 2019.
