Authentic Brands Group partners with Movantia on European business

Authentic Brands Group on Tuesday announced a partnership with Bologna, Italy-based agency Movantia to serve as a non-exclusive lead agency for ABG’s brand portfolio in Europe. Movantia will also extend its branding and licensing to the Middle East and India.

The agency is very experienced in supporting brands, celebrities, entertainment properties, manufacturers, and retailers on fashion, sports and luxury brand licensing. Movantia will work with ABG’s growing portfolio of celebrity, fashion and sports brands that includes Marilyn Monroe, Muhammad Ali, Shaquille O'Neal,  Prince, Aéropostale, Frederick's of Hollywood and Tretorn among others.

Prior to this partnership, ABG entered partnerships with “Dr. J.” Julius Erving and singer Thalía Sodi in 2016. The brand development company also acquired Aéropostale as part of a consortium with Simon Property Group and General Growth Properties. The consortium reopened the retailer’s 500 US stores in January.
