Beaute Prestige International USA, the US division of the Paris-based luxury fragrance company and a division of Shiseido Americas Corporation, has selected Barbara Luisi as its new Vice President of Sales. The company officially welcomed Ms. Luisi on July 12th.

BPI's three fragrance creators

"As BPI embarks on an expansion of its portfolio of prestige fragrances, Barbara comes to us with a skill set uniquely matched to our ambitions as a company," says Nicolas Munafo, President of BPI USA.

"In past positions, she has shown a keen ability to grow and sustain luxury brands in a competitive market, an in-depth understanding of the retail environment, and, most of all, the exceptional ability to lead her teams to ever-increasing levels of success."

Spanning more than two decades, Ms. Luisi's professional career has been almost exclusively dedicated to the world of luxury cosmetics and fragrances. Most recently, she held the position of Vice President Sales East at P&G Prestige where she retained retail responsibility for numerous brands including Gucci, Burberry, Dolce & Gabbana and Lacoste.

In her new role, Ms. Luisi will oversee the BPI USA national sales force with the overarching objective of growing the US business. She will report directly to Nicholas Munafo.

Beaute Prestige International was created in 1992 to increase Shiseido's fragrance business with the development of new designer fragrance brands.

Beginning with Issey Miyake's L'Eau d'Issey in 1992, the company has slowly and steadily built its brand portfolio to include French designer Jean Paul Gaultier's CLASSIQUE (1993) and LE MALE (1995).

In 2009, BPI USA was selected as the exclusive US external distribution partner for Hermes Parfums.
