It marks the first time the Glaswegian designer and artist has tried his hand at underwear design.

The limited-edition collection is inspired by joy, movements and his signature portrait, and features three prints particularly developed for the capsule.

Representing an evolution of motifs that have appeared in his work for years, the range’s aesthetic takes visual cues from Culture Club, The Mighty Boosh, and David Bowie, Charles Jeffrey explained.

“Underwear's actually been a big part of the Loverboy aesthetic story, thinking about it,” the designer said in a press release.

“In my earliest shows, I was obsessed with boxers pulled high over trousers. But we've never been able to do our own, so this project has been a lot of fun, and if you're going to develop boxers what could be better than working with one of the best brands in the world,” he added, talking about his collaboration with Bjorn Borg.

The Swedish brand has also previously partnered with British-born illustrator Ryan Hawaii on a range of men’s underwear.
