Boots Botanics has revealed that its complete skincare and beauty portfolio is now approved under the Cruelty Free International Leaping Bunny programme, which aims to put an end to animal testing in cosmetics.

The accreditation certifies the brand’s ethical claims, supporting its position as a responsible plant-based skincare specialist. Established in 1995, Botanics says its products are human-tested, cruelty-free, suitable for vegans and sourced from sustainable ingredients.

Sophie Usher, global brand manager, said: "Botanics believes that beauty products should be cruelty free and we are proud to be Leaping Bunny-approved. A global programme, Leaping Bunny requires cruelty free standards over and above legal requirements.”

Cover Girl, Urban Decay, Bulldog, Milk and Primark’s own range of costometics are among the brands that carry the Leaping Bunny logo to show they avoid animal testing. To gain approval, companies must implement a supplier monitoring system to ensure every stage of the product journey is cruelty free.

Available exclusively at Boots, Botanics offers skincare and aromatherapy products made from plant extracts.
