Bottega Veneta opens quintessential L.A. store

Just like it did in New York, opening his and hers stores specifically fo New Yorkers, Bottega Veneta has now opened a Los Angeles boutique at 8445 Melrose Place, a brand new store concept custom-made for its local, well-heeled clientele. A cross between art gallery and luxury boutique, the minimalist space of 250 square meters stocks only a cutting-edge selection of leather goods, ready-to-wear, shoes, jewelry, gifts and fragrances from the Bottega Veneta catalog. Furniture and objects for the home are also part of the mix.

"In this boutique, we chose to highlight the quintessence of articles voted by our clients, from trays to handbags to accessories,” said Tomas Maier, the creative director of the brand since 2001. “I am thrilled to be able to offer a more personalized experience to our customers in Los Angeles and hope that they will appreciate this location bathed in sunlight.”

Bottega Veneta will open its first XXL flagship in Milan in September 2013 in a space of nearly 1,000 square meters. The brand has been a delight to the Kering group for its performance last year — 14% of its sales were in the Americas, 31% in Europe and the Middle East, 17% in Japan and 38% in the rest of the world.
