Marc Jacobs opened a boutique on London’s reviving Regent Street this summer, further underlining the importance of London to the business. The shop is its biggest boutique outside of its domestic US market.

London-based Brennan takes over from Sacha Leonard who’s now global commercial director at Maison Margiela.

Brennan had joined browns in 2017 as COO and became MD last year. He has a long CV in luxury and department stores having also worked at Yoox Net-A-Porter, Ralph Lauren, Debenhams, John Lewis and House of Fraser.

His role at Browns is now being handled by owner Farfetch’s group EVP of commercial, Stephen Eggleston, on an interim basis while the company searches for a new MD.
