Bruno Magli hires Scott Prentice as President of North America
Bruno Magli on Friday announced that Scott Prentice has rejoined the company as the new North America President.
Prentice served as President of Bruno Magli from 1995 to 2005 and had an instrumental role in the growth of the brand’s North America business. He parted ways with Bruno Magli to work at Bally, which resulted in a suit against Prentice by Bruno Magli for “accepting employment at a direct competitor of Bruno Magli.” After Bally, Prentice served as VP of Calvin Klein Footwear.
“Appointing Scott to this role is further evidence of Marquee’s commitment to the Bruno Magli brand,” said Marquee Brands President Michael DeVirgilio. “In the direct to consumer channels and international markets where the brand has access to the consumer, it continues to perform beyond our expectations. We believe Scott will be instrumental in further delivering on this experience for our current and future wholesale customers.”
The Italian luxury footwear label earlier this year opened its first US retail location at Brickell City Centre in Miami. The 1,000-square-foot store also marks as the brand’s first retail location since its acquisition by Marquee Brands in 2015.
