Burberry names Donald Kohler President of Burberry Americas

Burberry on Monday announced that it has appointed Donald Kohler as President of Burberry Americas. Kohler will oversee all sales channels including online for the full global product offering in the US, Canada, and Central and Latin America. In addition, he will work closely with the Asia and EMEIA teams as part of one global retail team.

Kohler joined Burberry in 2008 as Vice President of Corporate Planning and was promoted to Senior Vice President of Planning after two years. In December 2013, he was promoted to Chief Merchandising Operations Officer, his current position. He will assume the role of President of Burberry Americas on September 1st, 2015, succeeding Jan Heppe who is retiring from the company on October 1st after 15 years with the brand.

Prior to joining Burberry, Kohler served four years at Williams-Sonoma in the US as Vice President Inventory Planning and Allocation and GM ecommerce. He started his retailing career at Macy’s in 1990 and worked for Gap for 11 years.
