Byredo has opened its first flagship store outside of Sweden in New York City’s Soho on 62 Wooster Street.

What started out as a perfume brand has now expanded into accessories and clothing as well, with even some of the furniture designed by the brand's founder and creative director, Ben Gorham, himself.

"This is the first time Byredo’s universe is presented in its entirety and some of the the products in the store are from projects that it has been working on for a few years, so it’s exciting for me to see it all come together here in the New York store," said the man behind it all.

Ben Gorham and Swedish architect and designer, Christian Halleröd, designed the 1,345 square foot boutique’s interior to reflect Gorham’s love for woodwork. The store’s floors and walls have custom Italian Terrazo with Canadian douglas fir ceiling beams, and the space has a reoccurring polished aluminum material throughout.

The retail concept will carry the brand’s fragrance and beauty products, its newly launched leather goods, accessories, eyewear, and a collection of new products created specifically for the store. A space for private appointments and for a bespoke leather and fragrance atelier will launch later this year.
