The retailer will land its 1,000 m2 store at the city’s Luxemburgpromenade, a developing shopping destination that includes fellow retailers such as Hema and Esprit. C&A’s concept store is part of the retailers plan to renovate or opens new stores in regard to its new concept, which features larger dressing rooms and services such as lounges, free wifi and smartphone charging points. The company’s new concept aims to offer the customer a better shopping experience, which played a focal point in development of the new concept: in order to develop the plan the retailer interviewed more than 20,000 customers to learn more about their wishes.

In September the retailer unveiled a 1,300 m2 concept store in the city of Arnhem. It was the first of its kind in the Netherlands following the recent openings of C&A concept stores in Germany, Austria, France, Belgium and Luxembourg.

Earlier this year C&A closed a few ill performing stores, including a well-known branch at Utrecht’s Vredenburg, which first opened in 1923. However, for 2017 the retailer still plans to renovate three more of its 131 Dutch branches.

C&A has more than 1575 stores in 18 European countries. The retailer is also available in Brazil, Mexico and China.
