The pop-up shop opened on Wednesday in the lobby of The Opposite House in Sanlitun and offers an assortment of Canada Goose’s most popular products, while showcasing its Fall/Winter 2018 collection. What’s more, six styles were exclusively designed for the pop-up store, highlighting its 'Fusion Fit' sizing, which offers styles specifically designed for smaller body types.

“Consumers in Beijing are now able to experience the brand first hand and discover the authentic stories which shape Canada Goose,” said Canada Goose in a news statement.

The location was designed with displays of prints by Inuit artists, as well as imagery from the North, bringing the Canadian north to life in Beijing.

The pop-up shop is part of the brand’s latest foray into Greater China, which the company has noted as a major market. Most recently, it launched on the Tmall e-commerce platform and opened a Hong Kong location at the IFC mall.

The Toronto-based company also plans to open a permanent store in Taikoo Li Sanlitun North Mall this winter. The pop-up is a prelude to the Canada Goose “Warmth Without Boundaries” experience, launching at the north outdoor area of Sanlitun in Beijing from November 23 to the 30.

Canada Goose has been in expansion mode since going public in 2017, venturing into retail and expanding into new product categories.

Founded in 1957, the company currently has stores in London, Toronto, New York, Boston, Chicago, Calgary and Tokyo, among others.

The company has previously said that it plans to open to 20 stores globally by 2020.
