Twenty five pieces to celebrate its twenty fifth anniversary. Carhartt Work in Progress saluted its quarter century by reinterpreting the iconic items that marked its young history.

In the 1980s, the European alternative scene grew fond of Carhartt's tough, durable workwear. Founded in Detroit by Hamilton Carhartt in 1889, the brand established itself as a major player in American workwear. With the emergence of urban culture in European cities, Edwin Faeh became, through Carhartt Work in Progress, Carhartt's exclusive distributor in the Old Continent, and decided to adapt Carhartt's clothing to European sizes and habits. Soon his team engineered its own workwear style interpretations, turning them into key streetwear items. This is how the brand became a benchmark for skateboarding and BMX aficionados, and for those of several music genres.

The collection celebrating this 25th anniversary brings a new, contemporary twist to thick cotton hoodies, bomber jackets, yard jackets, shirts, dungarees as well as work trousers and jeans.

The collection is available at Carhartt WIP stores and at selected retailers the world over. Carhartt currently claims a retail network of 2,500 stores stocking its products, and 70 branded stores worldwide.
