Number three and counting… UK premium sportswear brand Castore has signed another multi-year agreement to supply kit to an England Premiership football club, raising its key sports profile yet further. This time it’s with Aston Villa FC, becoming the Principal Partner for supplying kit for the start of the 2022/23 season, which begins in August.

The new partnership sees Castore supply Villa with kits across all men’s, women’s and academy teams and, importantly, the club’s large fanbase in the UK and across the world. The agreement will included Villa branded match apparel, training and leisurewear.

The new home kit will be unveiled ahead of Villa’s pre-season tour to Australia in July. Two alternative match kits will also be released in the coming months.

“The agreement signifies Castore’s continued push into the highest level of English football, the Premier League, and is a further statement of Aston Villa’s intent to partner with premium brands who share the Club’s ambitions” Castore said.

Aston Villa joins the retailer’s growing roster of clubs that includes Newcastle United and Wolverhampton Wonderers, as well as Scottish Premiership side Rangers.

And just last month, Castore also signed Spanish side Sevilla FC to a multi-season partnership, becoming the La Liga club’s official kit supplier. Last year, the retailer also signed up German Bundesliga club Bayer 04 Leverkusen to a similar contract.

Nicola Ibbetson, Chief Commercial Officer at Aston Villa, said: “This is a landmark partnership for the club, joining with an exciting British brand who understand our ambition and strategy.”

“Ensuring we can provide high quality sportswear for both our players and supporters is crucial to the club. Over the past four seasons our shirt sales have increased four-fold as our supporters around the world have reconnected with the club and we are delighted to continue this journey with Castore.”

Pascal Lafitte, Director of Partnerships at Castore, said: “Aston Villa is the perfect fit for Castore due to their growth ambitions and relentless desire to innovate, on the pitch and with their partners, and we are beyond excited to be partnering with the club.”

Castore’s wider kit contfacts also include partnership with England Cricket Board (ECB), kit supplier to England Rugby Union team Saracens and Samoan Rugby Union team Manu Samoa, as well as with the McLaren F1 racing team and tennis star Andy Murray.
