Many brands are getting back on the official Fashion Weeks calendar after two years of the  pandemic. Celine on the other hand, has decided not to run with the pack for it's women's collection. The luxury house of LVMH, led by Hedi Slimane, plans to fly to LA to unveil it's next winter collection on December 8.

The brand showed its men's fashion in Paris last June, making a comeback on the capital's runways after two years of absence. It closed the men's Fashion Week, unveiling its spring-summer 2023 collection.

However, Celine has different plans for it's women's fashion. The house, which skipped Women's Week last September, will present its spring-summer 2023 ready-to-wear collection via a video format in November, it tells us, without specifying the date.

In the wake of this, the brand will unveil the women's fall-winter 2023/24 collection the following month, this time positioning itself well ahead of the traditional schedule. The collection will be presented in Los Angeles during a physical show on December 8, in an undisclosed location, the label announced, noting that there will be no women's show for Celine in Paris in March.

Hedi Slimane has always had a great passion for the City of Angels, where he settled for a decade from 2008. The Saint Laurent studio was moved to LA when Slimane took over as creative director in 2012. It was also in this city that the designer staged his last show for the Kering house in February 2016, a few months before leaving.
